About Ethnicraft
Ethnicraft creates beautiful furniture and decorative objects that are the foundation for people’s homes, to inspire the stories of their lives.
For twenty-five years, we have been creating timeless furniture from solid wood. We love that it evolves with the years as it carries the marks of the life that happens to it. As it is incredibly strong and ages well with time, we believe wood is what makes our furniture the solid and dependable foundation of a home.
Ethnicraft creates collections for every room of the house: from the furniture that defines the purpose of a space, to the objects and accessories that layer it with meaning. All of the designs are intentionally timeless. They withstand trends and associate well with different styles, so they can be passed on from one home to the next, carrying over the stories of one lifetime into another.

Ethnicraft believes in the timeless beauty of solid wood
In a world where trends change from one year to the next, Ethnicraft wants to create design that will last for generations. Ethnicraft’s timeless designs associate well with different styles, while their solid wood is strong and ages incredibly well with time. The ultimate noble and renewable material, all of the wood is sourced from responsibly and carefully managed forests. The Teak collection also includes products certified as 100% FSC which are clearly labelled in the catalogue. Finally, Ethnicraft carries the FSC CoC certificate that verifies the path of products through the whole supply chain.
Ethnicraft believes in the durability of textiles
Ethnicraft’s cushion covers and throws are crafted from the best weaving yarns which are primarily produced in Belgium, France, Italy and Peru. By consciously choosing natural fibres – such as cotton, wool and Belgian linen – Ethnicraft stays true to their values: design pieces full of character, made from quality materials that age beautifully.
For the filling of their cushions, Ethnicraft has consciously opted for duck feathers - which is a natural product - because the alternative is synthetic, and therefore not sustainable. A duck feather pillow lasts a very long time: you can fluff the pillow and it will always take a good shape again. The synthetic alternative loses its shape very quickly, becomes flat and must be replaced frequently.
The fillers are made in The Netherlands and are certified with the Oeko-Tex 100 label. Oeko-Tex 100 is an international label for carpets and other textiles, founded in 1992. The label guarantees that the end product contains no harmful substances. It looks at both natural and synthetic fibers. The label is managed by the International Oeko-Tex Association, which also carries out the inspection. This association emerged as an association of 16 textile research institutes, including Centexbel, the Technical and Scientific Center for the Belgian Textile Industry.
